Skip a black tile while you walk across a checkered floor. Can I get into the door before the guy in blue jeans makes it across the street?

I notice a lot of people doing the same while driving. Can I make it across the light a bit faster, can i turn just before the other guy pulls in, overtake or block a person who I think isn’t driving well….

It wouldn’t really get them anywhere sooner. Yet most accidents happen due to the same behavior we had while we were kids.
